Lydia's Science Samples
Linda, I am finding it very difficult to come up with samples to show that we are doing science! You would think since we live in the woods, it would not be a problem. The kids are outside all the time, discovering insects, googling them, finding patterns in nature, going on hikes and adventures ect. I guess I need to make them do a report on it when they come in:) Anyway, I just wanted to say that there is no lack of science, just a lack of documentation. I'll do better next month, I promise!!
Gracie's Science Samples
Grace is so naturally inquizitive. She always has a question about nature. I am going to start her on the Draw Write Now series in November.
Gracie's Math Samples
Grace has been working on correct number forms, patterns, shapes, simple addition, and counting by 2's and 5's. She is right on track for the year. Math is one of her favorites!
Gracie's Language Samples
Well, I managed to get my act together on the "F" day at least! We have been doing a letter of the alphabet each week in much the same way as we did with Shelby last year. We read " " books, recite poems and do activities. Then at the end of the week, we make a spelling list and review it at the top of the next weeks' letter lesson. I think Grace will be an early reader, she is doing very well!

Rachel has done most of the work in this subject area. I will force her to make me a copy of all the materials used and books read fro the end of the year:) I am so greatful that the girls have the oppertunity to attend her history and form drawing lessons.
